São Miguel
Ponta da Ferraria
A volcanic headland where hot water meets the sea.
Visit for the unusual coastal geology; bathing depends on the day’s sea and tide conditions.
Make your visit work
- Check current bathing conditions and access notices on the day; this description is not a safety report.
Getting there
The committed AzoresBus inventory publishes no stop at Ponta da Ferraria. Lines 205 and 206 serve Ginetes, but that is a village connection, not access to the coastal pool.
Travel & bus guidePlan the way back
Arrange both legs to the pool separately. A bus from Ginetes only helps if you have independently arranged the connection back to the village.
