Cheese, wine and sweets
São Jorge cheese has a named cooperative in Uniqueijo; Pico’s lava-grown wine can be explored through Picowines; Graciosa’s queijadas have their own producer. A product tastes different when you can place it in the landscape that made it.
Ask the maker
These are named, source-backed examples rather than a best-of ranking. Check the producer’s own page for the current address, visit arrangement and what is available before travelling solely for a tasting.
