Ponta Delgada has the municipal Mercado da Graça; island producers and cooperative shops give other useful stops beyond São Miguel.

Make your visit work

  • Trader presence and stock change. Check a named shop’s own page before travelling just for a product.

A city market

Mercado da Graça is Ponta Delgada’s municipal market, a useful stop while exploring the city. Check its current traders and opening directly before making it the sole purpose of a trip.

Take home a place

Pico wine from a cooperative, São Jorge cheese from Uniqueijo or Graciosa queijadas from the maker connect a purchase to its island. At Café da Fajã dos Vimes, coffee and local crafts offer another reason to pause.

Plan the stop

Find the specific shop or production address before departure; the name of an island product does not tell you where a maker sells it. Stock and visitor access change, so confirm with the business.
