Tourism, transport, weather, health and emergencies have different desks. Save the relevant links before an island day, especially where mobile coverage can fail.

Make your visit work

  • For an emergency call 112. For non-emergency health advice, the regional civil-protection page lists Linha Saúde Açores; check its current details there.

Emergency: 112

For an immediate emergency, call 112. The official trail safety page gives this number and advises walkers to know their location; numbered trail posts can help responders find you.

Tourism offices

Visit Azores publishes a contacts page with tourism information offices. Choose your island office for local visitor questions; use the current directory rather than an old phone list.

Transport operators

Atlânticoline’s dated search is the ferry contact for routes, bookings and journey status. SATA Air Açores is the inter-island flight operator; check the booking for the exact island pair. For a local bus, use the operator named on that island’s transport guide.

Weather and trails

IPMA publishes weather warnings, including sea conditions. Azores Trails publishes trail alerts and the route directory. Check both just before an outdoor plan; a trail page describes a route but cannot promise today’s access.

Police and health advice

The PSP station locator lets you choose a locality for non-emergency police help. Regional Civil Protection lists Linha Saúde Açores for health advice. For an immediate emergency use 112.
